Our visits here are always like a little vacation! First you can run wonderfully in the surrounding forest and then eat delicious apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, vanilla sauce and whipped cream in the monastery courtyard die But the tarte flambée are also excellent here and the service is very nice! We always like to come back 🤩
Nice staff, very tasty food, good and strict implementation of the Corona requirements. We really liked it! 😊
honestly: ugh. i ordered a Jägerschnitzel (basically schnitzle with champignons and creamy sauce) which tasted like a book, idk what they’re trying to with this. The sauce was basically a puddle of water with a hint of cream, there was legit no taste. For the price we paid (yes my parents were not satisfied as well) i wouldn’t recommend u to come and eat here. could’ve gone to mcdonald’s and would’ve been more satisfied with shredded chickens :-) service was very friendly and quick though.
Very good food. Cake rather ordinary except for the apple strudel. Service very friendly but unfortunately quite slow because too full for too few staff.
At the end of September 20, we celebrated a birthday with 10 people. My salad with turkey breast and vinegar-oil dressing had a fishy taste. What was much worse, however, 5 people ate, the plates were already cleared, does not work! I will not recommend it to anyone!
Homemade beer and a cozy beer garden. Not so common in the area. Only the prices for the food are decent.
Wonderful monastery complex, very spacious. Ideal for hikes and bike tours. The beer garden is also highly recommended. Good food at reasonable prices. Very attentive and friendly service. It is also gratifying that the Corona regulations are being adhered to very precisely. Just great.
The cloister courtyard is a typical restaurant where many family celebrations are likely to take place. During our visit there was still a horse trailer that had been redecorated into a photo box in the garden, but the bridal couple was already on their honeymoon. In summer the very beautiful beer garden beckons. My companions were more in cake mode, I opted for the small starter platter. With a house beer. All good. You couldn't complain about the price either. You will not make a pilgrimage here, but if you do so to the neighboring former monastery, a visit is definitely worthwhile
Knechtsteden monastery courtyard. On the way back from Brauweiler, we wanted to take the ferry to Zons, we read a sign from Knechtsteden Monastery. And because it was still early in the afternoon, we drove the few kilometers more north. What caught our eye first was this wonderful, sandstone colored church. Do you still have toddlers? Then you will get your money's worth here in the great outdoors. This children's playground will delight you. Going for a walk is also possible here. Depending on your mood and fitness, you can choose from three hiking trails of different lengths. You will immediately become aware of nature and an idyllic silence everywhere, and if you also remember that you can buy delicious apples here at certain times, you will definitely come back. We didn't stop at the country inn, however. It would certainly have been an enjoyable end to this Sunday. But we wanted to take the last ferry across to Urdenbach and had to hurry.
We were 7 people. Drinks came immediately. Food came after a 30 minute wait and was very tasty. Everyone was completely satisfied. I can recommend it.
I liked it very much ... everything was very worth seeing.
Very nice restaurant, which is also very popular with riders. There is a tie bar and super friendly staff
A very friendly boss and a super friendly staff, we immediately felt at home, the food was excellent and the ambience couldn't be topped Point were there for the first time and will definitely come back an Italian with a very personal touch. Simply recommended
Been very relaxed in the beer garden. Admission with registration and placement. Good food and a tasty, light Klosterbräu. Card for children available, free parking in front of the monastery. The prices are okay, the staff friendly. . Clear recommendation.
Nice inventory management in an idyllic location. Good food, medium expensive. The only confusing thing is the nature of the Waitress: one of them takes the order. The next one brings the drinks, the third one takes the meal order and at the end the first one has to come to settle the bill
As before every time: friendly service, drinks and food are very quickly at the table. Fresh and deliciously prepared dishes, clean glasses and cutlery, and the excellent Knechtstedener beer. The way is worth it, especially during the week, since the crowds (beer garden) are not that huge.
We liked it, everything was delicious.
Very friendly, courteous and child-friendly service. Have sat in the cozy beer garden in wonderful weather. Operation brisk, no long waiting after taking the order and always keeping an eye on empty glasses The food is excellent, the monastery beer is delicious. Clear recommendation, will definitely come again
Overall friendly service, an inviting beautiful beer garden, great monastery beer and dishes for every hunger and budget. Not easy under CV conditions, but still nice
Very nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and the coffee was delicious.
Beautiful location. Nice menu. All the regulars. Well priced. Service is slow. However there is a change over around 17:00. Maybe that is why
Great traditional place
At the gates of the Knechtsteden monastery. Staff very friendly, the food was delicious. Nice terrace, good value for money. In good weather, especially on the weekend you should logically bring some time.
Great place for a quiet tranquill weekend.
Friendly, traditional pub with nice grub.
Great place to visit and the Restaurant has excellent food. Portions are too large though....
Very good food. Price performance good. Nice and fast staff! Before reserve absolutely recommended !!
A little pricey for lunch imo with most entrees costing about 18 euro. The food is tasty, with hearty portion sized, and all menus are marked with allergens which is helpful!
not as expensive as expected. Baby changing facilities available and staff is happy to bring a glass of hot water to warm a bottle. Also: best Rheinisches Sauerbraten I've ever eaten.
Not that impressive. Food was OK but did cost too much for what it was. They offer special services for riders and their horses and also have bars (stanchions) for tying also. I only know these services second hand so I can't rate them. Sounds fun for rides though.
Their own beer, Keller and Schwarz, are lovely
The food is always delicious and the staff are so friendly and welcoming always!!!!!!! We were offered the festive dessert as a treat and I must say that it was simply perfect!!!!!!!! The restaurant is celebrating it's 120th anniversary this year and we would like to wish it's owners the best of luck always with many happy and successful returns!!!!!!!! Thank you for everything!!!!!!!!! Looking forward for our next visit...😁
I've been here a few times, always business dinners, some with a large carte and some with buffet. The food is fine, the surrounding too. Since I'm always here in winter or late in the day here, I haven't enjoyed the surrounding area. I side it is so. Please, clean, nice.
Great atmosphere. A cozy library style ambience inside and an inviting terrace out front. Extensive drinks menu and hearty food.
